Position Overview:
As a Community Ambassadors Liaison, you will be an integral part of our community outreach efforts. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with residents through door-to-door canvassing, fostering a positive connection between the community and our organization. You will play a crucial role in promoting awareness of our initiatives, gathering feedback, and building lasting relationships within the neighborhoods we serve.
Responsibilities:
- Door-to-Door Canvassing: Engage with residents in assigned neighborhoods to share information about our organization, its initiatives, and upcoming events.
- Community Building: Foster positive relationships within the community by actively listening to residents' concerns, answering questions, and addressing any issues that may arise.
- Promotion of Initiatives: Effectively communicate the benefits and impact of our organization's programs and initiatives to encourage community participation.
- Feedback Collection: Gather valuable feedback from residents to help improve our services and initiatives, and report findings to the Community Engagement team.
- Data Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of outreach activities, feedback received, and community responses. Provide regular reports to the Community Engagement team.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members to coordinate outreach efforts, share best practices, and contribute to the overall success of community engagement initiatives.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in community outreach, customer service, or a related field is a plus.
- Must have reliable transportation.

Independent contractor positions:
- An Independent Contractor Within the Context of The Ohio ACE: (Application for Contractor Employment) adheres to the employment guidelines specified in the job description. An independent contractor is an individual or entity engaged by Ohio ACE to perform specific tasks, services, or projects on a contractual basis. The nature of the employment implies that the contractor operates independently and is not considered an employee of Ohio ACE
- Contractual Agreement: The independent contractor is bound by a formal written agreement outlining the scope of work deliverables Timelines and lines and compensation terms. This application serves as the basis for the work relationship between the contractor and Ohio ACE.
- Relationship Between the Contractor and Ohio ACE: Unlike employee’s independent contractors do not receive benefits such as health insurance, vacation pay, sick leave, employment benefits, retired contributions, or pay time off from Ohio ACE. Contractors are responsible for securing their own insurance coverage and managing their time off.
- Tax Responsibility: Independent contractors are responsible for their own taxes, including Income taxes and self-employment taxes. Ohio ACE does not withhold taxes from the contractor’s compensation, and the contractor is required to report their income to the appropriate tax authorities.
- Project Based Engagement Independent: Contractors are typically engaged for a specific project or a defined. With a clear start and end date, the scope of work and objectives are well. Defined in the contract. And the contractor is expected to deliver the agreed-upon results.
