Position Overview:
As a Voter Registration Field Coordinator, you will be instrumental in our voter registration initiatives, focusing on reaching out to non-registered voters within the community. Your role involves organizing and executing field campaigns to collect voter registration forms, ensuring that every eligible individual has the opportunity to participate in the democratic process.
Responsibilities:
- Field Campaign Management: Plan, organize, and execute field campaigns to target specific communities and areas with low voter registration rates.
- Community Outreach: Engage directly with residents to raise awareness about the importance of voter registration and provide information on the registration process.
- Registration Assistance: Assist non-registered individuals in completing voter registration forms, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local election regulations.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to volunteers and team members involved in voter registration efforts.
- Data Collection: Maintain accurate and detailed records of voter registration activities, demographics, and campaign effectiveness. Provide regular reports to the Voter Engagement team.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with community leaders, local organizations, and volunteers to maximize outreach efforts and promote a culture of civic participation.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of voter registration processes and election regulations.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Previous experience in voter registration or community organizing is a plus.

Independent contractor:
- An Independent Contractor Within the Context of The Ohio ACE: (Application for Contractor Employment) adheres to the employment guidelines specified in the job description. An independent contractor is an individual or entity engaged by Ohio ACE to perform specific tasks, services, or projects on a contractual basis. The nature of the employment implies that the contractor operates independently and is not considered an employee of Ohio ACE
- Contractual Agreement: The independent contractor is bound by a formal written agreement outlining the scope of work deliverables Timelines and lines and compensation terms. This application serves as the basis for the work relationship between the contractor and Ohio ACE.
- Relationship Between the Contractor and Ohio ACE: Unlike employee’s independent contractors do not receive benefits such as health insurance, vacation pay, sick leave, employment benefits, retired contributions, or pay time off from Ohio ACE. Contractors are responsible for securing their own insurance coverage and managing their time off.
- Tax Responsibility: Independent contractors are responsible for their own taxes, including Income taxes and self-employment taxes. Ohio ACE does not withhold taxes from the contractor’s compensation, and the contractor is required to report their income to the appropriate tax authorities.
- Project Based Engagement Independent: Contractors are typically engaged for a specific project or a defined. With a clear start and end date, the scope of work and objectives are well. Defined in the contract. And the contractor is expected to deliver the agreed-upon results.
